True Love
Begins Within
Do you know how lovable you are? It depends on how
LOVE-able you are, actually. And the only way to be
really able to love with all of your heart and every
fiber of your being is to love yourself deeply, passionately,
and especially.
This is critical for every area of your life! Your
true happiness depends on it. Your health depends on
it. Your relationships depend on it.
Now, I know that this is a HUGE topic. There are infinite
ways to do it and lots and lots of things in the way
sometimes. Only YOU can truly explore, know, and celebrate
how to really love yourself. It is more than an act
or an affirmation- it is a deep way of being. It is
a life's work and an extremely joyful process.
One place to start is by looking at the way you love
others and turning that on yourself every day. Whenever
you want to write a sweet note to a friend, buy a gift
for someone just because, or reach out with a tender
touch to another, turn that energy first to yourself.
Yes, write yourself sweet notes (then write your friend,
too). Gift yourself a special treat -not out of the
need to fill some void inside, but out of deep appreciation
for who you are.
Do you ever look around at the people in your life
and think 'WOW, how did all these beautiful, talented,
brilliant, special, (fill in the blank) people come
into my life?' Well there is only one reason. You
are BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED, BRILLIANT, and SPECIAL!
So heap on the extra love, will you? Make a habit out
if it. It gets easier with practice and your life will
thrive because of it.
