Affordable Housing: Solutions for Homes and Finance

A national three-hour course for real estate licensees

As lead of an instructional design team and internal SME for the industry, I often suggested courses for national electives to solve meet real-world problems. Recognizing that affordable housing was a national crisis, I suggested we research options in both housing and financing so that real estate agents (our client base) could better help their homebuyer clients. This involved researching little-known financing programs geared toward first-time homebuyers and affordable alternatives to the typical three-bedroom, two-bathroom single-family residence.

Breaking Barriers in Fair Housing

A national three-hour course for real estate licensees

With more and more regulatory agencies requesting content on diversity, equity, and inclusion, I researched and developed a course on fair housing. This involved researching the history of fair housing nationally, how systemic racism continues to impact housing equity, and recent changes in fair housing law.
